Businesses and educational facilities have been invited to self nominate for the Carer-Friendly Business Awards for the first time in the awards history.

This is your opportunity to be recognised by your peers and also by the caring community. It is also a way to create greater carer awareness within other businesses and educational facilities.

Are you a business that provides flexible working hours for employees who also carry out a caring role?
As a business do you have established policies and practices that support staff to balance work and caring responsibilities?
As an educational facility do you recognise the time and access constraints of carers, offering personalised attention or alternative delivery options for learning?
Are you an educational facility that has policies and practices in place to enhance access to your services for carers?

If you answered ‘yes’ to the above questions, we want to hear from you.

State winners and the people who nominated them are invited to attend the State Awards Gala Luncheon in Brisbane during Carers Week celebrations in October.
